In the words of Lord Byron, "If I don't write to empty my mind, I go mad." So, I write action packed, future-fiction that's fun and refreshing to read.

Could you tell us a little bit about yourself?

I have always loved to read and I discovered that I also love to write. Personality tests have revealed that I have a "rich inner world" that fuels my imagination and helps me construct future-fiction that is fun and exciting to read. My forty year career as an architectural designer promotes attention to detail and mental visualization to make words turn into images in your mind. A twenty year hobby of astronomy creates exciting vistas and challenging background for my futuristic novels. Living in the mountains of North Carolina affords me the serenity to think, contemplate, and write, write, write.

Describe your book ‘Trophy’ in 30 words or less.

TROPHY is a time-linked future fiction adventure from 1975 to five centuries in the future. Humanity and the New Victorian Empire are on the verge of extinction.

What was the hardest part of writing your book?

Editing by professionals was hard to take at times. I had to cut parts that didn't flow though they were some of my favorites. The constant rewriting was at times tedious though ultimately rewarding. We tend to fall in love with our own work. Good editors bring us back down to reality.

What books have had the greatest influence on you?

Lord of the Rings by J.R.R.Tolkien, Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen, Dune by Frank Herbert, the Foundation series by Isaac Asimov, and the Bible.

Briefly share with us what you do to market your book?

Fortunately my wife Ellen assists me with this. BookBuzzr has been very helpful. Twitter, Facebook, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Smashwords, and ebooks for pleasure have also helped. Local bookstores also contribute.

How do you spend your time when you are not writing?

I still work part-time as a designer. When time and conditions permit, I enjoy amateur astronomy from my deck observatory. My wife and I enjoy spending time together working at various activities. Since we have a few acres around our home, we get our exercise by walking on our property. People are always amazed when we tell them that our cats, Riley and Yoda, love to accompany us.

What are you working on next?

The first sequel, TROPHY: RESCUE, is nearing completion. There will ultimately be five books in the Trophy Saga; Trophy, two sequels, and two prequels. And if I make it that far, there may be more...
