First off, let me start by saying my bf is a Combat Veteran. So I've seen the ugliness of PTSD first hand. Secondly, the author is right. Combat PTSD is a monster. When reading these books, I laugh. I cry. The scenarios she describes in them are all too real! I love the fact that she uses a touch of sarcasm but in a good way! Living with a Combat Vet can be frustrating to say the least! You can also tell she really researches her stuff. Filled with good information, these books really help me understand my situation. They also have given me more than a glimmer of hope. Us "Warrior Lovers" have it tough at times. Thanks to these books, I've been able to convince my bf to start a PTSD program. Do yourself (and your Vet) a favor and read this book!
