NASHVILLE BY MORNING is a story about two people who fall in love in the ‘make or break’ world of country music. Heather Braun receives an invitation to visit relatives in Nashville. A frustrated writer, she falls in love with the southern ways and decides to stay, intending to break into the music business.

James Sheridan is the son of a legendary performer and is determined to make it on his own, like his brother Utah has, and not on their father’s shirttails. He and Heather meet in Nashville at a political function where he finds her in tears on his quest to speak with Hank. He comforts her until her friend, Hank, searches her out to apologize for the impromptu kiss on the dance floor.

About the author (2014)

Maxine Douglas first began writing in the early 1970s while in high school. She took every creative writing course that was offered (grammar was not her best course) at the time and focused her energy for many, many years after that time on poetry. When a dear friend’s sister revealed she was going to become a published romance author, that was all Maxine needed to get the ball rolling. She finished her first manuscript in a month’s time.

Maxine currently resides in Oklahoma with her husband, and is a member of Romance Writers of America, Oklahoma Romance Writers of America, and the Oklahoma Writer’s Federation, Inc.

One of the many things Maxine has learned over the years of her life is that you can never stop dreaming and reaching for the stars, because sooner or later, you’ll touch one, and it’ll bring you more happiness than you can ever imagine. She feels lucky and blessed, over the past several years, to have been able to reach out and touch the stars—and she’s still reaching.

Maxine loves hearing from her readers. All you have to do is catch her at Facebook, Twitter@waMaxineDouglas, or her blog. Come on over and say “Hello.”
