BookBuzzr Book Sampler

• Shows an extract of your book to readers in a flip-book (including full-screen) format.
• The pages of your book turn like they would in a real book.
• The Book Sampler also contains buy links for your book, links to interviews & media coverage about your book and a link to your twitter account.

• You can offer multiple "Buy" links to your readers (unlike Amazon's Look Inside feature)
• You can show up your Twitter ID inside your book extract thus increasing the possibility of gaining additional Twitter followers.
• You can link your BookBuzzr Book Sampler to your BookBuzzr Book Tweeter (explained later in this document.) This means that automatic "celebratory tweets" go out when your book extract hits specific milestones (such as when a thousand readers sample your book.)

1. Sign-in to BookBuzzr.com
2. You will be redirected to the 'Book Marketing Home' page.
3. Click on your book title.
4. Next, click on 'Upload Excerpt' in the right side panel.
5. Browse and upload your book excerpt in the PDF format to get the BookBuzzr page flipping widget.
6. Next, click on 'Read Now' to preview your book.

BookTweeter

• A technology to help you schedule auto-tweets on Twitter in a way that does not irritate or annoy your followers.

• Saves you time by creatively tweeting about your book through your Twitter account.

1. Login to BookBuzzr.com.
2. You will be redirected to 'Book Marketing Home' page.
3. Click on your book title.
4. Next, in the left side panel click on the option "BookBuzzr Book Tweeter".
5. In the right side panel click on "Set Your Time Zone Now" and then select your time zone and click on "Next". You will be redirected to Twitter.com for verifying your twitter information.
6. Provide your twitter user name/email and password and click on "Allow". (If you don't have a twitter-id you can sign up and create it one there). You will be redirected to "Book Marketing Home" page where you can set up 4 ways to market your book.
7. Click on "Tweet about my book right now - This is a onetime tweet (takes about 1 minute)" which leads to a new page where you can see a default message. Click on "Tweet Now" option. A Tweet will be made in your Twitter-id.
8. Next, click on "Tweet about my book when it's read by a minimum number of readers in a 24 hour period (takes about 5 minutes)" which leads to a new page where you can save/edit/add a new message. Clicking on the "Back" link goes back to 'Book Marketing Home' page.
9. Click on "Tweet about my book daily or weekly (takes about 5 minutes)". It redirects to a page where you can select daily or weekly tweet and set the time for the tweets. Now click on "Save and Add Messages". It redirects to a page where you can save/edit/add a new message. Clicking on the "Back" link goes back to 'Book Marketing Home' page.
10. Click on "Set up milestone-based tweets (takes about 2 minutes)". Here you can set up messages to tweet on each milestone (100, 1000, 10000).

BookBuzzr Mini Widget

• BookBuzzr Mini Widget is smaller than the BookBuzzr Widget.
• Flips pages of your book like a real book.
• Catches the attention of your readers and encourages them to sample your book extract.

• The BookBuzzr Mini Widget goes where the BookBuzzr Book Widget does not fit (such as your Wordpress.com blog or on a narrow sidebar.)

1. Log in to your BookBuzzr Book Marketing Home Page and navigate to your book.
2. Click on BookBuzzr Mini Widget.
3. Copy-paste the code available on the right of the mini widget on to your blog or website.

BookBuzzr Email Signature

• A flipping image of your book shows up as your email signature along with links to preview your book.

• It helps you to encourage your email recipients to sample your book.

1. Go to your BookBuzzr Book Marketing home page.
2. Click on your book.
3. Click on "BookBuzzr Email Signature"
4. Copy-paste the appropriate signature into your email program.

QuickQuiz

• A technology to market your book in a viral manner on Facebook.
• Rapidly create and deliver short, 5-question quizzes for your readers on Facebook.
• These quizzes can also be embedded on your blog or website.
• The quiz technology includes elements from popular TV game shows such as a "points tree" and quiz-keys (clues and hints.)

• Catch the attention of readers by creating quizzes on topics that interest them (for example, an author who has written a book on dance has created a "Top 5 Dance Movies Quiz".)
• Built- in viral features (Facebook Like and Share) ensure that your readers share your quiz with their friends.

1. Log on to your BookBuzzr Book Marketing Home page.
2. Click on QuickQuiz. This will bring up the quiz creation interface.
3. Add your questions and publish your QuickQuiz. You can even embed pictures into your quiz and make it more interesting.
4. Add in your "sponsor's message" along with other quiz details and lead readers playing the QuickQuiz to your Amazon page where purchases can occur.

Facebook Fan Page Widget

• A widget to help make your Facebook Fan Page look better and get more Facebook fans.

• Provides tabbed design for better engagement with fans.
• Increases the likelihood of more people "Liking" your page.
• Increases the likelihood of people returning to your page.
• Hiring a professional to build such a Fan Page would ordinarily cost an author at least a few hundred dollars.

1. Login to your Facebook Account.
2. In the same browser, open a new tab and login to your BookBuzzr account.
3. You will be redirected to 'Book Marketing Home' page.
4. Click on the option "Facebook AuthorPage Widget".
5. You can also change the default theme settings by using the 'Change Theme' option.
6. Next, click on "Preview & Share" on the top right hand corner to share your BookBuzzr AuthorPage Widget on your Facebook Fan Page.
7. Next, click on "SHARE" in the popup window. Next, click on "Allow" in the "AuthorPage by BookBuzzr" permission request page (PLEASE NOTE: If this application is already allowed then this screen will not be shown and you can continue from step 8 onwards.)
8. Then you will be taken to the AuthorPage by BookBuzzr page.
9. Click on "Add to My Page" link in the left sidebar.
10. Next, click on "Add to Page" button next to your page name.
11. Then close the popup and click on "Account" in the top right hand corner.
12. Select "Use Facebook as Page".
13. Click on "Switch" button next to your page name.
14. Now preview how your AuthorPage Widget will look by clicking on the "AuthorPage" link in the left side bar.
15. If you would like to change the default landing page from 'Wall' to 'AuthorPage' then click on 'Edit Page' in the right hand side of the page.
16. Now, select the default landing tab as 'AuthorPage' and click on 'Save Changes'.
17. Next, copy the URL and paste in a different browser. You can see that by default it lands on the 'AuthorPage' tab or next time if you login to your fan Page then your default landing tab will be the 'AuthorPage' tab.

Get Facebook Likes

• A forum to get other authors to Like your Facebook fan page.

• Quickly get a critical mass of Facebook users (usually 25) to Like your page so that you can claim a vanity URL (ex: www.facebook.com/YourDesiredPageName)

1. Go to http://www.freado.com/forum/.
2. Login to your account.
3. Click on "Get Facebook Likes"
4. Click on "New Topic" under this particular board. Post your Facebook fan page URL with a request for other authors to like your page.
5. Look at other Facebook fan page "Like requests" on this forum and explore the Facebook fan pages of other authors.
6. If you like a particular author's Facebook fan page, go ahead and click on the "Like" button on Facebook.
7. Come back to this forum and let that particular author know that you've "Liked" their page. Make sure that you also include your own Facebook fan page URL in your forum post, so that the author whom you have helped has the opportunity to click through and reciprocate.

Hangman Game

• A variation of the commonly played word game called "Hangman"
• Create your own word games and post them on your blog or website.
• Automatically shows your book cover and information in the game.
• You can create games that are linked to your book (ex: if you've written a romantic book set in Paris, you can create a Hangman games that asks readers to guess the 10 most famous sights of Paris.)
• Games can be played and shared on Facebook.

• Increases time spent on your site or blog by visitors.
• Visitors are likely to remember your book and possibly buy it if it resonates with them.

4. Add in 10 words or phrases and clues.
5. Copy-paste the code generated on to your website.

Amazon Sales Rank Alerts

• Tracks your Amazon sales rank and send you an email when your sales rank improves.
• There are two types of BookBuzzr Amazon Alerts. You can choose either one or both of these alerts:
1. Daily Alerts: These emails arrive once a day and give you information about how your book's sales rank has moved over the last 24 hours (records only positive changes... i.e. improvements in your sales rank. The bold numbers are the ranks indicating improvement.)
2. Hourly Alerts: These emails arrive every time there is an improvement in your sales rank. If your sale rank gets worse, you won't receive an email (bad news can be demotivating for authors!)

• Checking Amazon Sales Rank frequently can be a major time waster for most authors. BookBuzzr's Amazon Alerts tool saves you from the time-wasting grip of continually checking the Amazon sales rank. It sends you an email alert ONLY if your sales rank has improved. And it sends you a 'daily digest' with information about how your sales rank moved during each day. • A method to build relationships with your readers by giving them free points which can be used to win prizes on Freado.com.

• Give your readers something of value when they visit your web page, Facebook page (or Facebook fan page) or Twitter page.

1. Login to your BookBuzzr account. This will take you to your BookBuzzr Book Marketing home.
2. Select the book for which you have a BookBuzzr Pro account.
3. Click on Goodwill builder.
4. Click on the type of widget that you want (either vertical or horizontal.)
5. Copy and paste the code into your blog or author webpage.
6. If you simply want to share the link on your Twitter feed, Facebook page or email just copy-paste the link and share it.
7. When a user clicks on the badge or link, they are led to Freado.com. If they register there, they get their 1,000 free Freado points!
8. As an author, you also get 500 free points every time somebody that you refer to Freado (using Goodwill Builder) registers on Freado.
