Her off kilter m More...

For a long time now, I've been lucky enough to experience and meet up with people and situations that may not be considered "the norm". Because of this, I've become a sort of magpie...a collector of shiny scenes and perspectives that I transcribe into stories. The day that my cousin called me from Denmark and told me that she couldn't close one of her eyes, is the day that Kafe Castro came to life. She had a reaction to the laughing gas that the dentist had given her, and when she phoned me, I became inspired. Most people associate mishaps at the dentist with pain and excess spit, but KAFE CASTRO is documentation that there is more to dental visits than meets the eye...although I did stay true to the spit part. One of the most popular questions I get is, "Is there anything autobiographical about KAFE CASTRO?" and the most popular section my readers site in relation to this question is the scene with the pervy robe guy behind Coco's. While every situation belonged to someone, the Coco's interaction was not one of mine. I have pieced together some of my favorites to present you, the reader, with not only the gift of laughter, but also of relief. For when you realize that as messed up as you think YOUR life is, it's a walk in the park when you're not KAFE CASTRO. All of my stories in the Coffee Break Series are short enough to read at lunch or during a few moments of free time. Mostly they show the lighter, less seen, side of life.

Imaginative, witty & an easy read. A great escape into the mind of someone who really knows how to capture our world of silent musings and transpose them into amusing vignettes that we can all appreciate.

Seinfeldesque likeability. Takes those quirky little unconscious yet everyday situations that we all experience into the forefront of our reality.
