Description

"Hamburger Lady" - A high school urban legend becomes real as a lustful teacher encounters a vengeful ghost.

This is one of seventeen chilling stories in the first offering from Darryl Dawson, "The Crawlspace."  (Full story)

"Hamburger Lady" was inspired by the Throbbing Gristle song of the same name, but the plot and theme have nothing to do with the song. The recent flurry of teachers having affairs with high school and middle school students served as its jumping-off point. I admit there's a wink directed at Edgar Allen Poe in there as well.

"Bravo!"  "Four Stars!"  "(The Crawlspace is) one horror anthology that is sure to thrill!"
-Debbie Wiley, Book Illuminations

I ordered The Crawlspace online, looking for the perfect collection of short horror stories for adults. I received the book and the only complaint that I have is that it isn't 400 pages! I read it one windy, rainy evening, and the stories sprang to life in my head. The book is well-written, the descriptions are vivid, and a perfect buy for horror fans and book lovers. I recommend giving this book a read, you will not be disappointed.
