"Loved the story line and characters in this western romance. Celia is strong, proud and willful, which gets her into trouble alot. And Seth reminds me of a rugged cowboy, steadfast in doing what is right. The tension and mistrust sparks between these two and I enjoyed the way the writer leads them into each other's arms. The conflict around them keeps the story moving at a fast pace. Loved the ending! Can't wait for more in this series!" A Larkin
"Really enjoyed this book and loved the period setting. Quite a typical first outlook; boy meets girl, but it wasn't a typical romance, with race factors and peril thrown in too. Loflin is a strong wilfull man's man and Celia is a mixed race Indian woman with beauty and brains together they make a formidable team. the story was strong all the way through and let me wanting more." mrs C

Overall, this book was very good. Good story telling. But my opinion would not prohibit me from reading the sequel.

I really enjoyed reading this sample of the story. A secret love between a cowboy and indian girl. Years later they meet again. She was his first love, can he really forget her and go on? Is set in a time where white man and indians are at war with each other. When tragedy strikes where will it take them. I am going to have to check out more by this author and read the full book!! An intriguing introduction to the Loflin Legacy series. Celia and Seth have a history. Sparks fly when Celia returns to Tyler, Texas to care for her ailing father. There is mystery and a bubbling heat in this sample. I can't wait to read the entire book! Nola Arganbright
