Description

The gambling man, Alex Vladimir was born in Charleston, South Carolina in 1932. Unfortunate situations force him to flee there on a freight train when he’s just nineteen years old. After spending several years on the run--playing poker and cheating his friends, he arrives in Las Vegas in 1959. Using money he’s skimmed from the Chicago Mob, he buys a casino on Fremont Street. His gambling and skimming provide a life of luxury. When the daughter he left behind in Charleston turns eighteen, they meet in Las Vegas. Afterwards she returns to Charleston and graduates from law school; then moves to Las Vegas where she helps Alex run his gaming empire. He teaches her the tricks of the trade. Alex and his daughter, Sabrina are deceived by the crooked lawyer, Henry Castaneda. Charleston Cheat takes the reader from the early 1900’s to modern day times. Charleston Cheat is filled with poker, lies, gambling, cheating, love, romance, deceit, murder and destruction. Adult men and women, who enjoy the thrill of reading a story that is based on true life characters and situations, will enjoy reading Charleston Cheat. www.farewelltofreedom.net
