I literally just finished reading the book. Although this book is written from a Christian perspective, everyone can learn from it. This book is great for givers and those who want to learn to give from their hearts. The book is concise and to the point. The purpose of the book is to mobilize readers to give of themselves by seeing and caring for the needs of others. Mrs. Uzzell reminds us that the spirit of giving is a gift from God and it should be used with the Spirit of Discernment. She also warns that too often, givers give to the wrong people and they deplete themselves. In turn, they are too empty to give to those whom God sent their way. Mrs. Uzzell also drives the point home that we can give of our time, love, and other resources. She reminds us to not look down on those in need and to have pure hearts in our giving. We should not expected anything back in return. We are also reminded that God gave us our blessing and we should share those blessings with others. According to Mrs. Uzzell, if God loves, we should love...if God gives, we should give. Giving is a choice...It is the author's hope that you will choose to give to those in need. Allow the Holy Spirit to guide you to those you are meant to give to. Above all, show love and kindness to everyone.
