Description

What could cause someone to throw away a perfect life in paradise?

An unranked angel, Alizel, tells the inside story of the rebellion of Lucifer and the fall of man. Join him as he strolls through Heaven’s gardens, ponders theological questions with other angels, and battles against others who have turned away.

This epic tale will take you from the inner workings of the quark to the interplay between galaxies, from what lies hidden in the soul to the fundamental questions of good and evil.

"I found Alizel's Song to be quite thought provoking through a number of realms. The most powerful was exploring the gift of free will and the cost associated with it. Picturing heaven in the past, present and future captivates you from the beginning. The author has a strong grasp on his spirituality and honors God as an omnipotent Father who allows what follows due to his love. Bill Pottle engages us with battles stemming from his expertise as a Tae Kwon Do Master and knowledge as a Scientist but it is his insights of Christianity that really make you stop and think. Honestly, this book has really had me pondering quite a few theories even weeks after I have read it. I hope a sequel will follow so I can learn more about some of his statements and what happens regarding the area of Containment"

"As a budding theologian, I'm rather curious about interpretations of anything surrounding God...particularly of angels. Particularly of angels! Despite intricate descriptions of certain dreams, expositions on one thing or another, and simply confusing parables, we get very little about angels other than they exist (of this I personally have no doubt - ask and I'll tell you why). Oh, there is something in Genesis about the angels guarding the entrance to the Garden of Eden, and Revelations speaks of angels flying 'round God singing praises all day. Balaam spoke to an angel after his donkey spoke to him, an angle went around and killed first-borns in Egypt, an angel heralded Jesus' birth to shepherds, etc....though we get some stories, we get nearly nothing about angels in Heaven.

I simply cannot say enough good things about this book. Being a firm believer that everyone who is even remotely interested in God should read this book, I even want people at the church where I work to do a book group on this book!"

"

Alizels Song is a wonderful fantasy book. It is even more amazing because, as a Christian, I know it is based on real events. This book offers a unique perspective on one of the oldest stories known to man, and tells it in a well thought out manner. There is some creative license taken, but there would kind of have to be with this kind of book. The Author obviously knows God, and his love, and loves him with all his heart. I await the next book, with baited breath."

"Bill Pottle wrote something uniquely original in Alizel's Song - he incorporated Angel mythology (and by mythology I mean collection of well known stories) into the Biblical story of creation while weaving in science fact and modern theory. Overall, the eclectic mix works well, like peanut butter and chocolate, and I found myself drawn into Mr. Pottle's world. And what a fascinating world it is!

Angel mythology is as vast as it is deep and underpins many of the world's major religions. It has a varied and textured history to it; a richness brought to life through millennia of tales that span the spectrum of human and spiritual emotions, from the triumphant to the tragic. In these tales, one finds the origins of evil, the weaknesses of the mighty, and heroic acts of redemption. Fortunately, one doesn't have to delve through the tomes of tales to discover these sparkling gems - all one has to do is read Alizel's Song.

Mr. Pottle captures the chronicle of the heavens with vivid clarity and describes the fall of the angels with genuine sorrow. There is a rhythm to his writing style I found comforting, like a scenic drive home, and the story flowed as it took me to its destination.

I have to thank Mr. Pottle for writing such an intriguing book. This is the first in a series and I, for one, am looking forward to more. 5 stars."
