ELLEN’S  TALE

When I first saw it was a romance, there was a reluctance to start . . . anyway I started reading and was caught. Thank you for a refreshing, original read.

Ellen's Tale and The Storyteller's Tale

I thoroughly enjoyed the first book and am currently a little more than half way through the second. I find the story riveting. In Ellen's Tale I enjoyed the gradual unfolding of the past so that the present made sense piece by piece. It had clearly entailed a very detailed and imaginative planning on the author's part.
The Storyteller's Tale is simpler in narrative terms, but still compelling. I am surprised that these books are apparently self-published. I would have thought they could have quite a wide readership. They have a great deal to say about the direction our world is taking, as well as a straightforward "good yarn".

Ellen's Tale and The Storyteller's Tale

Ross's books remind us of the strength of the human spirit. I so admire the way she weaves a love story with the overcoming of personal adversity and against a backdrop of a changed and frightening world. The empathy and technical accuracy of Ross's writing make the characters and story completely believable despite their setting in a time that we don't yet know.

These tales may be set in the future but they are just as much of us, in today's world. They provide us with hope that humanity can survive our worst nightmares - and perhaps be better for it.

The Storyteller's Tale

Having thoroughly enjoyed the first of ‘the Sefuty Chronicles’, I eagerly awaited the second, and was not disappointed.  The main character, Keira, contrasts starkly with Ellen, the heroine of the first book.  Her relationships with Ellen and Bix, and with Jack, who was also in the first story, develop gently and deeply.  I felt I was inside Keira’s mind, experiencing and, to some extent, understanding her hopes, fears and turmoil.  The ending of the story is surprising and unexpected, which adds even more to the enjoyment of reading it.  I hope that the next Chronicle will not be long in coming.  Keep writing, Alberta
