Description

This is a book about the basic life skills that are not always taught in school or at home. Those basic life skills needed by adults of all ages for everyday living. Did you ever wonder when you were getting ready to leave home for the first time, if your parents had taught you everything you needed to know to survive on your own?  Or, have you been in a relationship for a long time and now you find yourself single and feel lost about what to do next? Do you know how to do laundry; clean a home; balance a checkbook or cook a meal? Are you aware of the different types of deposits required to either rent or buy a home?  If the answers were “yes” – good for the role models that you had! If the answers were “no” to most of these questions – don’t be discouraged – there is help on the way!

My daughter, a single mother, was getting ready to move out on her own and I was concerned that I had not taught her everything she needed to know to not only take care of herself, but her young son. So, I started making notes and it blossomed into a book. I did research and found that life skills aren't a required course in school, so I decided to publish the book and help everyone who needs the additional assistance to be able to live on their own successfully.

I have had significant response to the book and it has been well received by many. See the reviews on my website.
