The concept behind this book came to me after the frenzy of released Vampire stories following Stephenie Meyer's success with the Twilight books. It seemed like everywhere I turned, authors were jumping on the Vampire train to try and mimick or top the greatness she achieved with the saga. I wanted something new, something fresh, and I was tired of buying and checking out books that ultimately had the same story line, same plot, been there done that feel. Never have I ever read any authors book that has done this concept quite in this manner. It's original and gripping to say the least. Any time that you can re read your own book and fall in love with every character 101 times over, you know its a good read. While in the future my sights are still set on pursuing an agent to represent the Trilogy, it's more important for me right now for my work to be read, appreciated, loved and shared.
Posted April 15, 2011, 3:24 PM EST: Very interesting story development here. I typically don't read fantasy fiction, I actually made a promise to myself not to this year (Trying to buff up on my non fiction these days) , but I ran across this book at the publishers bookstore. I think that's right, but anyways the blurb sounded interesting enough. I was kind of wary of spending the $3.99 especially breaking a promise to myself, but I can say that I just finished reading the ebook and it was a pretty well spent $3.99. I loved the cliffhanger at the end, and now halway mad at myself for purchasing it in the first place as I HAVE to go and buy the second book now. My brain can not handle cliffhangers. So let me save you the trouble of having to go back and make two purchases. If you buy book one, go ahead and buy book two! You will want to read it! Happy reading everyone....
