I am the author of FIRST LOVE, LAST DANCE. This memoir is about my mother, Elise. She fell in love for the first time at 19. Peter was his name. She dated him for two years, became engaged but didn’t marry him until she was 75. The book is about their beginning, my grandmother’s dislike of Peter and why she broke them up…what happened in each of their lives. In the 54 years they were with other people they did see one another, and what happened then. At last, at age 75 they got a second chance.
Readers have found this sweet true story one of hope. It’s never too late. The story and book has been featured on NBC and CNN.
