Author Bill Redding knows the territory. Redding spent 31 years in law enforcement, 20 years with the Evanston Il, Police Dept. serving in all divisions. He retired from that department over ethical differences.
Next he became Chief of Police of Belvedere Illinois. After five years working with one of the most backward departments in Illinois, he was asked to leave because of a drug investigation involving a public official.
After the Belvedere fiasco, he became Chief of Police in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He left after five years because of illegal gambling issues with the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.
After those trying years he says, "I finally found solace in my family and a few friends, the only place where I could find honesty." Bill Redding now lives with his wife Ann in Florida
