Kalyan is an intellectual property attorney based out of Bangalore, India. In addition to helping clients derive business value from their intellectual assets, Kalyan also consults for United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO), and teaches at premier institutions such as National Law School of India University, Bangalore, and Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
After writing internationally acclaimed works on intellectual property, including a bestselling work on Patent Law, published by Oxford University Press, Kalyan has now ventured into legal fiction. Starting with Road Humps and Sidewalks, a drug patent thriller, Kalyan plans to publish a series of IP Law Thrillers on socially relevant subjects.
Kalyan holds a Doctorate in Patent Law from National Law School of India University, Bangalore, and a Masters in Intellectual Property from Franklin Pierce Law Center, USA.
