I am a writer of science fiction novels and creator of the Coalition Book Series: The Cortex, The Transcend: Book I, The Transcend: Revelations, and the upcoming: The Synocant War. My first book of poetry: Selected Poems, is due to be published in December 2013. I currently live in Nottingham City, England.

1. Could you tell us a little bit about yourself?

Ex-civil servant in the UK turned poet & science fiction writer currently living in Nottingham.

2. Describe your book The Cortex in 30 words or less.

The Cortex is a love story and a war story on a Galactic scale. One girl forced to face an ancient nightmare at the edge of civilisation.

3. What was the hardest part of writing your book?

Making the ending match my original concept without losing the impact of the revelations revealed.

4. What books have had the greatest influence on you?

The Foundation Series + the Dune series + Michael G. Coney Books + Robert Silverberg's Majipoor Series.

5. Briefly share with us what you do to market your book?

Twitter, Facebook, several online forum's, webpage, Goodreads. Bookbuzzr.

6. How do you spend your time when you are not writing?

Reading, exercising, travelling.

7. What are you working on next?

Currently working on Book Five of the Coalition Series for completion August 2014.
