Interview

1. Could you tell us a little bit about yourself?

I love Egypt and I love to travel. I also love reading and libraries.

2. Describe your book ‘The Hidden Chamber in the Great Sphinx’ in 30 words or less.

The Hidden Chamber in the Great Sphinx is about an America archaeologist who discovers a hidden chamber in the Great Sphinx. Inside the chamber is a supercomputer composed of 13 crystal skulls.

3. What was the hardest part of writing your book?

The hardest part of writing the book was to decide what to leave out. There is a great deal of history and archaeology in my book.I wanted to put a lot more in but felt it would be too much for the middle grade reader.

4. What books have had the greatest influence on you?

The books that influence are the books of Maurice Sendak.

5. Briefly share with us what you do to market your book?

I hired a marketing firm to help me sell my books.

6. How do you spend your time when you are not writing?

When I am not writing, I enjoy traveling and playing with my computer.

7. What are you working on next?

I am presently working on a study guide for The Hidden Chamber in the Great Sphinx because two of my reviewers said that it was ideal for middle grade readers studying Ancient Egypt in their Social Studies classes.
