Could you tell us a little bit about
yourself?
Maureen Meehan Aplin is an attorney born and raised in Wyoming, where the
Mary MacIntosh series is centered. She practices law in Southern
California and continues to write legal fiction and nonfiction.
Describe your book ‘Dying to Ski, a Mary MacIntosh novel’ in 30 words or less.
When the CEO of a pharmaceutical giant is found dead on the slopes of
Jackson Hole, Mary MacIntosh risks her life in pursuit of the truth behind his
death, unraveling a shocking web of conspiracy and betrayal.
What was the hardest part of writing
your book?
Editing and re-writing it from scratch – approximately 13 times.

influence on you?
Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand; To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, White
Oleander by Janet Fitch; One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia

Social media and word of mouth mainly.
How do you spend your time when you
are not writing?
Practicing law; raising my children; running; enjoying time with family
and friends.
What are you working on next?
My husband recently was diagnosed with cancer. I’m writing a
biography entitled, “Runner’s Privilege” regarding his journey through cancer
treatment-ending with completing the 2012 London Marathon.
